Walking through La Caverne du Pont Neuf is a complete break from everyday life in Paris. Inside, everything is designed to make you forget that you’re walking on the floor of Paris’s oldest bridge. JR envisioned this installation as “a step into the unknown, a journey within oneself, an experience where fullness and emptiness exist in balance.” This lithograph bears witness to that fleeting moment. It captures that twilight hour when the contours of the Caverne du Pont Neuf take shape with striking precision: a scene where time seems to stand still beneath the gentle Parisian sky.
