Description

This image aptly embodies the challenges of The Wrinkles of the City project: how to combine the story of a person with the urban landscape and create a unique image.

Ramiro et Maria Gurrola are Mexican farmers from Valparaiso, Mexico. They dedicated their lives to Charrerias, a mexican form of Rodeo and they established the first Charreria in Valparaiso. They got married and had eleven children including four living and working in Los Angeles. JR met them while they were visiting one of them.
